Winter Weather vs Damaged Roofs

North Texas has already hit below freezing temperatures this month, and it is only the beginning! Our coldest months are just ahead of us and freezing weather means more damage to your already damaged roof.

Thousands of homes were hit by the big storms North Texas had this spring and many homeowners have not had their roof checked out for damages yet. It is important to have your roof checked for any loose or damaged shingles. Winter weather can bring rain, snow, and ice which will equmulate on your roof and can form ice dams. Ice dams are ridges of ice that form along the edges of a roof when snow has melted and then refrozen. Water can then build up behind the ice dam as more of the snow melts. If enough water builds up, it can seep between the roof shingles and cause damage inside your home.

Give us a call today for more information on winter weather and your roof! We provide free estimates on roof repairs and new roof replacements, any day of the week!
